STANDARDS COMPLIANT MME FOR LTE BROADBAND NETWORKS

The MME is a key component of the standards-defined Evolved Pack Core (EPC) for LTE. It provides mobility session management for the LTE network and supports subscriber authentication, roaming and handovers to other networks.

Motorola uses the proven performance of the Ericsson MME in our Public Safety LTE offering. The Ericsson SGSN-MME is a fully standards-compliant platform currently in service in many operator networks around the globe.

    Built for public safety
    Optimized to serve mission critical activities, the Ericsson SGSN-MME supports Quality of Service (QoS) functionality, enabling the ability to prioritize data traffic and ensuring that the network is serving the most critical need at any given moment.

    Mobility management
    Provides the necessary support for subscriber mobility within the network, as well as support for mobility between networks. It keeps track of the current location of all subscribers including the states of their user device.

    Automatic neighbor relationship
    Assist eNB to auto discover adjacent neighbor cell. Avoid labor intensive manual database provisioning activity in the field for every new eNB deployment.

    Authentication and security
    Support user access authentication with HSS and IP packet filtering functionality and prevent unwanted access and fraud attempts to LTE network.

    Co-location option
    The MME can be mounted in the same cabinet as the Ericsson CPG for space optimization.
