From their form to their function, the MTP8000Ex Series radios have been carefully engineered to address the needs of oil and gas workers and offer the ultimate in safe, reliable and efficient communications in hazardous environments.
Meeting the latest ATEX and IECEx standard, the MTP8000Ex TETRA ATEX radios have been specifically designed for end-users who work in areas with potentially explosive gases or chemical vapours, flammable liquids or combustible dust.
ENHANCED COVERAGE
High receiver sensitivity and high transmit power gives the MTP8000Ex Series greater coverage and enhanced in-built performance. Workers can go anywhere onsite, remain in coverage and most importantly stay in contact.
The traffic light LED Coverage Indicator at the base of the antenna shows the worker when coverage is poor or non-existent – you even get to pre-set the levels of acceptable to your exact requirements giving you control of your people’s safety.
LOUD AND CLEAR AUDIO
When it comes to safety the ability to hear workers is an uncompromising feature. With 1.2W and Integrated audio howling suppression background noise is eliminated and conversations, or alerts for help, are always heard.
LOCATION TRACKING
Supporting GPS, GLONASS and BEIDOU constellations when workers are out and about across vast sites you can instantly pinpoint where there are, essential if they are unable to communicate their whereabouts.
Because we recognise workers may need to carry on working whilst they communication we didn't just create a radio device that has optimal safety features. Accompanying the devices there is also a range of accessories designed, tested and certified to enhance the MTP8000Ex portable radios.

REMOTE SPEAKER MICROPHONES
The Active Noise Cancelling Remote Speaker Microphone (ANC RSM) has the design and audio clarity to ensure conversations are heard.
Exaggerated controls, including large glove friendly front and side Push-To-Talk (PTT) buttons allow you to transmit with ease even when wearing protective gear.
HEAVY DUTY HEADSETS
The complete range of headsets compatible with the MTP8000Ex Series Radios has been tested with the ANC RSM to ensure optimum performance.
With features such as dynamic noise cancelling, boom microphone and helmet attachment options these heavy duty headsets provide best in class audio.
