What is FedRAMP?

FedRAMP® is a GSA requirement that ensures federal agencies follow a standard approach for authorizing commercial cloud services. It encompasses cybersecurity assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring.

How many levels of FedRAMP are there?

There are 3 levels in the FedRAMP program depending on the classification of the information within an application. Our platform achieved the highest level. Our cloud includes security monitoring, multi-region geo-redundancy for high availability, FIPS validated encryption, and is serviced by American citizens.

What Motorola Solutions products have achieved FedRAMP high?

  • APX NEXT
  • APX N-Series
  • SmartConnect
  • SmartProgramming and RadioCentral
  • SmartLocate
  • CommandCentral Aware’s tracking of radio users locations.

What does this mean for Motorola Solutions customers?

Any Federal agency that wants to procure APX NEXT and the authorized applications can immediately check a lot of boxes and get right into agency-specific aspects of their ATO process. In addition to the authorization of our initial applications, the Motorola Solutions Federal Cloud platform has also gone through the FedRAMP process enabling us to add new features much faster as they become available.

What other Motorola Solutions hold FedRAMP authorization?

Rave mobile safety is our communications software that empowers agencies to execute critical communications in accordance with continuity of operations or incident management plans when emergencies or disasters strike. Rave Alert and Rave Collaborate have both achieved and sustained FedRAMP Moderate authorization.
