Key features

Tough and ready

Bring on the extreme; the TALKABOUT T470 has an IPX4 weatherproof rating. This IPX4 rating guarantees protection from splashing water no matter what direction it is coming from. The TALKABOUT T470 two-way radio withstands the effects of rain, snow and other weather conditions so you are free to go beyond.

Sleek and sophisticated

The hidden LED display on the TALKABOUT T470 radios turns on to deliver the information you need, only when you need it. You’ll only see the icons you are using, which makes calling that much simpler. And, when you’re not using your radio, the display is hidden. The result is a clean and sophisticated design that you’ll love at first sight.

Let there be light

On any adventure, it's crucial to be able to see what you are doing and where you are going. The TALKABOUT T470 series radios have a built-in LED flashlight so you can get to where you need to be, even in the dark. The LED flashlight also gives you the ability to read maps at night and easily see into backpacks and bags so you know you have an emergency light when needed.

Stay ahead of the weather

Want to keep in touch with changing weather conditions during your family camping adventure? No need to stop the fun — weather alerts will provide your group with warnings of incoming storms or dangerous conditions. And, by tuning in to one of 7 NOAA channels (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) on your radio, you will always know what to pack with continuous local and regional weather broadcasting.Need a charge? Do not disturb will still receive NOAA weather/emergency alerts while keeping calls silent during charge.

Stay protected on your adventures

Stay connected on your wildest adventures with the T470’s dedicated emergency button. This emergency button, on the side of the TALKABOUT T470, emits a loud alarm sound after you press and hold it for 3 seconds. It also simultaneously activates the hands free (iVOX) feature, so you can easily transmit your call to your group requesting help.
