Motorola Solutions Unveils Advanced AI-Powered Safety Ecosystem at LAAD 2025

Motorola Solutions

Mobile and fixed video solutions, military wearables and drones support safer missions for defense and public safety agencies

Rio De Janeiro/Brazil – April 1, 2025Motorola Solutions (NYSE: MSI) is highlighting at the Latin America Aerospace and Defence (LAAD) 2025 trade fair the crucial role its technologies play in supporting defense and public safety. From rugged, long-range cameras that can detect anomalies up to 20 miles (30 km) away, to tactical, high-frequency military radios, the company continues to invest in new AI-powered innovations across critical communications, video security and command center solutions.

“In a region spanning more than 30 countries, totalling the fourth highest population in the world, Latin America and Brazil face constantly evolving security challenges ranging from natural disasters to organized crime and smuggling,” said Gustavo Ancheschi, Country Manager and Territory Director, Motorola Solutions Brazil. “Defense organisations need to be prepared for anything and supported by technologies that help them to see across vast distances of land, sea and air, communicate more effectively with public safety agencies and maintain constant awareness and vigilance to potential threats”.

At LAAD 2025, Motorola Solutions will showcase how its ecosystem of technologies brings strategic advantages to defense, with a focus on harnessing AI to help tackle two key challenges: enhancing frontline protection and communication, and strengthening base and perimeter security and upholding cybersecurity resilience. Key highlights include:

Frontline protection and communication:

  • CAPE Drone software: Sending software-powered drones into uncertain environments to map, geofence and capture critical evidence before defense personnel are deployed.
  • V500 body cameras: Maintaining visibility of what frontline officers see on the ground with live video streaming and footage uploads shared directly with control rooms.
  • Barrett Communications: Supporting tactical operations with high frequency (HF) and very high frequency (VHF) communications that perform reliably without the need for infrastructure.

Base and perimeter security:

  • Silent Sentinel: Providing highly accurate, long-range thermal vision detection capabilities of up to 30 km in extreme environments with Jaeger cameras to support aviation, maritime and border protection operations.
  • Avigilon and Pelco Solutions: Protecting perimeters with AI-powered cameras that trigger alerts for potentially critical events and provide high-resolution views across vast areas.
  • Cybersecurity: Providing mission-critical communications, cloud applications, IT infrastructure and networks from digital threats with cybersecurity services to prevent unauthorized access or downtime that can compromise critical operations.

Motorola Solutions’ technologies for security and defense will be on display from April 1-4 at LAAD 2025, booth #O32 in Riocentro.
